Medicare Veto Beaten!

Within hours of the president's veto of the bill reversing Medicare cuts, the House and Senate voted decisively  to override the veto. Current payment rates last through Dec. 31, and a 1.1-percent increase is set for 2009.

CMS Hold on July Medicare Claims Clarified

Now that the 10.6 percent Medicare cut has been cancelled the 0.5 percent payment is now in effect for the remainder of 2008. Please note that payments (PDF) made for services provided on or after July will include the cut. Additional information to avoid disrupting claims payment.
